Our School

We have nine classes at Kisharon Noe School and below details how these classes are organised:

Our Classes

At Kisharon School, we are dedicated to providing a personalised and enriching educational experience for each of our pupils. As a special school, we understand the unique needs and talents of our diverse student body, and we strive to create an environment that nurtures their growth and development.

Tailored Curriculum Delivery

Our classes are named after herbs, reflecting the nourishing and vibrant nature of our learning environment. Pupils are primarily grouped by key stage, but we also consider their cognitive and social abilities to ensure that their individual needs are met. This allows us to deliver a curriculum that is tailored to the specific requirements of our pupils, whether they are following an informal, semi-formal, or formal pathway.

Holistic Approach

As our school continues to evolve, we are committed to adapting our class structures to best serve the changing needs of our pupils. For the 2024-2025 academic year, our classes will be organised as follows:

Woodlands Group
  • Chives – KS5 (Sixth Form) Semi-Formal
  • Lavender – KS1/2 Semi/Informal Curriculum
  • Mint – EYFS/Informal Curriculum
  • Rosemary – PMLD/Informal Curriculum
  • Saffron – KS3/4 Semi-Formal Curriculum
  • Sage – Semi-Formal Curriculum
Orchards Group
  • Basil – KS4 Formal Curriculum
  • Coriander – KS5 (Sixth Form) Formal
  • Parsley – KS3 Formal Curriculum

Our classes are divided into two groups: Woodlands and Orchards.

The Woodlands classes follow a primary model, with one class teacher responsible for all subjects.

The Orchards classes operate on a secondary model, where pupils are taught by subject-specific teachers for English, Mathematics, Science, and Life Skills.

Nurturing Potential

At Kisharon School, we are guided by our vision and values, which are rooted in the belief that each child is unique and deserving of an education that aligns with their individual needs. By fostering a warm and caring atmosphere, we work in partnership with families and professionals to ensure that our pupils reach their full potential, develop their independence, and go on to lead fulfilling lives in the community. Whether your child is joining us in the early years or progressing through our sixth form, you can be assured that they will receive a personalised and enriching educational experience that celebrates their individuality and supports their growth. We welcome families from all backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all.
